Masjed-e-Jomeh - The Central
Fountain

This fountain which is a perfect example of the chahar
taq form of construction stands in the centre of the mosque. Its four miniature arches reflecting
the four eivans surrounding it which in turn are
reflected in the pool, as though the whole construction was designed to harness and reflect the energy
around it.
On the right you can see the doorway leading to the shabestan and the mehrab of Oljeitu.
